RB (Steel-Encased Rubber) Bushings
Also known as steel encased rubber bushings, these bushings are used on the front eye of most automotive springs. They are made of rubber encapsulated between an inner and outer shell. Since the rubber is compressed to one third of it’s original size, RB Bushings will provide the best all around cushion.
HB (All Rubber) Bushings
Unlike the steel encased RB Bushings, HB Bushings are all rubber. You can generally find these used in the rear spring eye.
Urethane Bushings
Also called Polygraphite, Urethane Bushings provide a near immediate hook up. However, they do not perform as well as HB or RB Bushings. Urethane Bushings should be used on performance machines where ride is not a factor. Available in an assortment of colors.
Bronze Bushings
Bronze Bushings can be found in many medium and heavy duty trucks as well as older light trucks. Bronze Bushings are greasable and provide a very long life.
Aluminum Bushings
Also comes in all steel, Aluminum Bushings provide absolutely no cushion from road conditions. Aluminum Bushings should only be used on performance machines where ride is not a factor.
Threaded Bushings
Threaded Bushings can be found on older cars, light trucks, and most heavy duty trucks.
