1963 Fairlane 500, Sports Coupe. Factory built with 4-speed, console, buckets. originally a 260CI motor. This car was drag-raced in the 60’s at Lancaster Speedway near Buffalo NY.
After I purchased it in 1995 (Basket Case) I found that it had a “built” 302 in it featuring a vintage single-plane manifold with a Holley, aftermarket cam, headers at some time in the past and other clues (like missing parts to make it lighter).
It had 4.11 gears and a Locker rear-end also.
I’ve since added; frame connectors, original dual-point distributor with electronic igniter, ceramic coated headers, Disc brakes, and am in the process of changing over to a Tremec 5-Speed Transmission. Eaton Detroit Spring supplied springs, and was the only place that had the rubber insulators that were needed. Thanks Eaton Detroit Spring!!!
